Facility Operations: Maintenance
Changeover Staff - Buffalo Sabres (Buffalo, NY)

Summary

Set up furniture, staging, equipment, supplies, and materials for a variety of events held at the arena.  Maintains grounds at the facility.

Responsibilities

  1. Set up, move and remove chairs, risers, staging, sports equipment, tables, supplies, and equipment.

  2. Load and unload supplies and equipment.

  3. Perform a variety of cleaning functions, which includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.

  4. Maintain exterior building grounds.

  5. Operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, auto-scrubbers, pallet jacks, Cushman carts, vacuums, trash compactor, and cardboard bailer.

  6. Properly handle tools, and return tools to storage when tasks are completed.

  7. Be courteous and treat people with respect.

  8. Maintain strict confidentiality of all issues worked with.

  9. Assist in various project work as necessary.

  10. Maintain open communication with Supervisor at all times.

  11. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

  12. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or become evident.

Education / Training

A High School diploma or equivalent is required.  Previous maintenance/changeover experience preferred.  Must be able to properly operate tools.  Must be able to interpret and carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.  Previous forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.  Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.  Must be able to work on irregular work surfaces, such as stages, ramps, lifts, ice, dirt, ladders, man lifts, or other surfaces.  Maximum body weight cannot exceed 280 pounds in order to comply with safety limitations of equipment.   Must be able to move equipment and properly handle tools.  Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.  Must be able to work flexible hours that can include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and shift work as needed.

Summary

The Programming Administrator will assist with the incoming programming for HARBORCENTER Operating, LLC.  This position will provide support for internal programs, special projects, tournament groups and governing bodies. This position will work directly with the Programming Coordinator and Tournament Coordinator.

  • Customer service support for all guests and partners.

  • Tracks and reports on the bookings and ice usage through Rectimes

IMPACT Sports - Asst. Atheltic Development Specalist/Sports Performance Coach - HARBORCENTER (Buffalo, NY)

Position Description: As a member of the coaching staff, responsibilities include overall supervision of the strength and conditioning programs for all IMPACT athletes, injury prevention program design and development in collaboration with head coaches, supervision and scheduling of the weight room and physical therapy facilities, working in collaboration with physical therapists to deliver impeccable patient recovery and return to play protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and conduct in-season and where appropriate any permissible non-traditional and post-season team and individual athlete strength and conditioning training program.

  • Design performance program for individual athletes and for specific team needs, and teach proper skills, skill development, and safety considerations for strength and conditioning.

  • Analyze individual and team performance needs for sport specific training and performance.

  • Provide on-site coverage and make referrals for appropriate acute medical care. 

  • Ensure athlete safety and well being in all training sessions, conditioning activities, practice activities related to strength and conditioning program. Evaluate, treat and assist in the rehabilitation of injuries to athletes.

  • As appropriate, support the head coaches in counseling and advising student athletes about plans for setting goals, academic success, appropriate social conduct and other life skills topics, as well as other personal and sport related issues.

  • Attend and participate in appropriate national or regional professional development and continuing education clinics and/or conventions to improve and increase overall knowledge of athletic training and strength and conditioning techniques and practices.

  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings, unless excused by immediate supervisor.

  • Complete various assigned reports and submit to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Meet annually with immediate supervisor and/or the Director to review student athlete and administrative evaluations, and establish personal and professional goals and objectives for the following year.

  • Sell Impact Sports Performance services to western New York area and beyond

Education and Work Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field – Masters degree preferred

  • 1-2 Years prior athletic training experience

  • Current certification from NATA Board of Certification

  • NSCA-CSCS certification preferred

  • CSCS/CES/PES or related certification preferred

  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certified

  • Must be eligible for New York State Licensure

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays

  • Demonstrated experience with instructional technology

  • Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues for program growth and enhancement.

  • Safely operates and maintains all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.

  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.

  • As applicable, cleans restrooms, sweeps and mops floors. Refills all dispensers such as hand towels, toilet paper & hand soap. Cleans toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors & counters. Empties/removes trash. Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to manager.

Summary

The food runner is responsible for supporting both servers and kitchen staff as well as providing guests with an exceptional experience while at Terra Mare. ·         Know table numbers and seat positions; seat positions always start with #1 to the left of the server as they are taking the order and moving clockwise around the table
